The very end of the premiere episode of Foo Fighters‘ new HBO series features a brand new lyric video for their first single, “Something from Nothing,” which is recorded and completed as the episode — shot in Chicago — goes on.
Now, the video is out for everyone, not just HBO viewers. The band released the lyric video for the single onto their YouTube page yesterday, Oct. 19.
The clip finds the five-piece performing the new song in the studio — Steve Albini’s studio, where they recorded the tune, in fact. White lettering of the song’s lyrics float in an out around their heads and near their instruments.

Cheap Trick guitarist Rick Nielsen, who hops on the track and appeared during the song’s live debut on Letterman last week, appears in the lyric video too, popping up about two-thirds in.
